on #SkeemSaam It seems like not all that glitters is gold

Thabo is genuinely making an effort, which seems to be overlooked. Women like Mapitsi risk losing good men like Thabo by unnecessarily increasing the load on their partners and appearing unappreciative.

On #SkeemSaam, it appears that the reality for Turfloop’s most prominent couple is that not everything that shines is truly gold. Mapitsi is certainly demanding a lot, and it’s understandable that Sonti needs to recognize the shift in Mapitsi’s priorities now that she has a family. It’s crucial for Sonti to come up with a strategy to secure her own financial independence.

Thabo is genuinely making an effort, which seems to be overlooked. Women like Mapitsi risk losing good men like Thabo by unnecessarily increasing the load on their partners and appearing unappreciative. It’s important to realize that life isn’t solely about a woman’s immediate family.

Mapitsi ought to consider starting a side business to alleviate some of this pressure.

Considering their current situation, downsizing could be a more practical solution rather than moving back to their parental home. For instance, selling both of their vehicles and purchasing a more affordable car could significantly reduce their financial obligations.

Additionally, enrolling Pitsi in a more budget-friendly school would relieve some of their monetary strain. Since Meikie has offered to assist with childcare, allowing her to help with the baby could be a wise decision that would ease Mapitsi’s daily responsibilities.

Implementing these changes could provide a more stable and less stressful environment, allowing both Mapitsi and Thabo to focus on nurturing their relationship and supporting each other more effectively.

  • Downgrading will be a much better option: They don’t have to move back home.

    1. Sell both their cars & buy a cheaper car they can afford.
    2. Take Pitsi to a affordable school.
    3. Allow Meikie to take care of the baby, since she offered.

  • They definitely bit more than they can chew. I can count a lot of things they shouldn’t have done…eg sending Pitsi on that chess tour abroad. I’m sure it was very expensive. T-bose should’ve only just bought Mapitsi a new car because he still had a car😩😩

  • Mapitsi demands a lot mahn. Sonti must now understand that mapitsi has a family now & make a plan on how she can provide for herself financially. I mean, Thabo is trying for heavensake. Ladies like mapitsi always lose good men like Thabo becoz of adding a burden on their husband’s shoulders and being ungrateful. Not everything is about women & their families. Mapits must start a side hustle now yerrrr
