Khaya Dladla, an inspiring figure in the South African entertainment industry, was born on the 3rd of April, 1990, in Umlazi, a vibrant township in South Africa known for its rich cultural heritage. As the fifth child in a family blessed with six siblings, Khaya grew up surrounded by love and support from their parents, Reggie and Thandi Dladla. Khaya’s early education journey began at Isipingo Hills Primary School, where they laid the foundation for their future endeavors.
In 2005, Khaya completed their secondary education at Brettonwood High School, a place that undoubtedly nurtured their talents and aspirations. Driven by a passion for communication and marketing, Khaya pursued higher education, earning a Diploma in Advertising from Varsity College. Further enhancing their qualifications, they graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and Communications from the esteemed University of South Africa (UNISA), equipping them with the skills needed for a dynamic career.
Khaya’s foray into the entertainment industry began in 2013 when they took on the role of “G.C.” in the popular SABC 1 soap opera, Uzalo. The show quickly gained immense popularity, becoming a staple in South African households. Khaya’s outstanding performance did not go unnoticed, as they were honored with the Best Supporting Actor award at the prestigious Simon Sabela Awards. This accolade marked the beginning of a successful acting career.
In 2016, Khaya showcased their versatility by participating as a model at the Durban Fashion Fair, a platform that celebrates fashion and style. Subsequently, they captivated audiences with their portrayal of “Nxebale Ndoda” in the Mzansi television series eHostela. In 2021, Khaya continued to leave their mark on the industry by joining the cast of the television serial House of Zwide, playing the intriguing character “Lazarus.” Later that year, they returned to the beloved soap opera Uzalo, much to the delight of their fans.

Their musical journey continues to flourish with recent features in YoungStar’s hits “INGOMA” and “Indovozi.” Khaya’s talents have also extended to the airwaves, as they have embarked on a radio career with a gig at Gagasi FM, a popular radio station in KwaZulu-Natal. Through these diverse endeavors, Khaya Dladla has become a multifaceted entertainer, leaving an indelible mark on the South African cultural landscape.
